How does the Spectrum of Consciousness relate to the principles of polarity?
And how are the Shadows, Gifts, and Siddhis related to the principles of polarity?
In hermetic teachings, the fourth law is the principle of polarity. Everything in our universe has its opposites – everything is dual.
It is a law that has perplexed so many. It is paradoxical. Also, the Gene Keys, secretly in a poetic fashion, uses paradoxes of duality via the Spectrum of Consciousness.
Let us observe the 6th Gene Key, for example. The Shadow of Conflict, the Gift of Diplomacy, and the Siddhi of Peace.
Without the sensation of heat, there would not be a sense of cold.
Without the sensation of conflict, a sense of Peace would not exist.
How do we measure heat and cold? We build measuring tools that analyze levels of temperatures. However, there is no “one point” of absolute heat or absolute cold. It all depends on the subjective perspective. For humans, 36 degrees are healthy, and 41 degrees are deadly. For the sun, millions of degrees are standard.
So, the dual aspects of heat and cold are subjective filters through our human mind’s perspective. But both heat and cold share the same quality.
The Spectrum of Consciousness also uses aspects of polarity, for example, Conflict and Peace.
For most human beings, inner conflicts do not equal to external conflicts. Therefore, we tend to believe that what we keep hidden within does not influence outer relationships and the environment. This is the collective agreement we have lived in for centuries, an agreement that fewer and fewer human beings are willing to agree to.
Most agree that conflicts, if worst, end in misunderstanding, war, and killing. The countries must defend their values and build up identification. Suppose two nations’ values and built-up identification are two extremes of the universe’s polarity (conflict). One nation plays the repressive part (over-attentive) and the other nation plays the reactive part (tactless).
In that case, wars are more likely because the values, morality and world views are such opposites. Where one nation turns inward and is afraid of war, thus being over-attentive, the other nation is tactless out of a fear and worry.
Diplomacy and the underlying understanding of both extremes would be the only solution for Peace.
We can also experience this in all interpersonal relationships. As described in the Gene Keys, each shadow thus has its own polarity of repressive and reactive nature.
On the other hand, most would agree that Peace is a state, a frequency, or an essence, in which conflicts cannot be present. Peace is a rarified field of unity and beauty, whereas conflict is an undeveloped field of dislocation and entropy.
The Spectrum of Consciousness consists of three terms, Shadow – Gift – Siddhi.
If Shadow and Siddhi are the dual aspects of lower nature and higher nature, darkness and light, low Frequency and high Frequency.
What are the Gifts within the 64 Spectrum of Consciousness?
How can the Gifts guide human beings out of the darkness into the light?
Many times, newcomers to the Gene Keys Approach ask me. What are the Gifts in the Gene Keys? How can I live and express my Gifts?
The Gifts are the conscious creative expression of humanity. Some say that the gifts transform darkness into light.
While the Gifts may do so too. I prefer to describe the Gifts as follows:
“The Gifts are humanity’s measurement tool to observe both darkness and light with clarity, without identification or worldview. They are like a powerful scepter of transformation, wherein all paradoxes dissolves.”

We develop an inner measurement device, like heat and cold, measured via a Celsius thermometer. We sense darkness and light. However, we do not glorify the light and condemn the darkness. As we also do not condemn the cold and glorify the heat. Depending on the measurement, both states can kill human beings and can be dangerous. So, also, the darkness and light – can be seen very differently.
The Gift of Diplomacy of the 6th Gene Key guides you towards your unique expression of Peace while understanding that Peace cannot exist without conflicts and vice versa.
The fourth hermetic principle of polarity is inherently existent in our human being’s experience. While the polarity may look entirely different for other expressions of life, and Peace or conflict may also be nonexistent, for our world today – Conflict and Peace co-exist within this sixth archetype. At the same time, Diplomacy is the anchor that decides which path we choose.
Are all 64 Gifts of the Spectrum of Consciousness like inner measurement devices?
Since the Spectrum of Consciousness is about the “Spectrum of Human Consciousness,” we could say yes – all of them are measurement devices.
Some gifts are more mental, while others are more emotionally or physically oriented. Many of the 64 Gene Keys Gifts are complex to understand; this all depends on your journey.

For example, the 15th Gene Key of Dullness, Magnetism, and Florescence shares the eternally flowering spring. It is in the channel of Rhythm (5/15), and from one perspective, this Gene Key is about the rhythms of dullness and florescence. In nature, did you ever intensively observe trees and flowers?
Trees and flowers are in a natural rhythm of flowering and decay, life and death. How do they achieve rhythm?
The Gift of Magnetism empowers this capability of rhythm. As a result, they naturally align with planetary magnetism. As a result, trees and flowers flow with the rhythms of life.
Nature magnetically knows when to die and to renew itself. And since we are part of nature, on a cellular level, we know which cells to renew.
Probably now, you can easily observe how different and beautiful each aspect of the 64 Gene Keys is.
The trinity of Shadow – Gift – Siddhi supports human beings from the narrow-mindedness of our minds into the vastness of our hearts. And the more simplified and natural we trust in our inner magnetism in our energy field, the easier it becomes to express our Gifts to the world.
